Fokker D.X

Fokker-lentokonetehtaan suunnittelija Reinhold Platz kehitti yksitasoisen ylätasoisen hävittäjän Fokker D.VIII:n vuonna 1918. Koneen siipi oli itsekantava, mikä oli tuolloin poikkeuksellista. Koneesta tehtiin kaksi jatkokehitelmää, joista toinen (V.41) valmistui vasta Fokkerin tehtaiden siirryttyä Hollantiin. Kone sai tyyppimerkinnän D.10 ja sitä sarjavalmistettiin vain 12 kpl. Suomen Ilmavoimat osti vuonna 1929 yhden Fokker D.X:n vertailuja varten. Fokker D.X ei tullut kuitenkaan valityksi. Kone tuhoutui 19.8.1926.

Fokkers designer Reinhold Platz developed a high-wing monoplane fighter Fokker D.VIII in 1918. The aircraft had a cantilever wing which was unusual feature those days. Two further developments were made and another of them (V.41) was finished after WWI when Fokker aircraft factory has moved to the Netherlands. The aircraft got type marking D.X and the total production was 12 aircraft. The Finnish Air Force bought one D.X for comparisons. The Fokker D.X was not chosen. The aircraft destroyed on August 19th 1926.
