Arado Ar 66c

Arado Ar 66 on saksalainen yksimoottorinen kaksitasoinen ja -paikkainen koulukone, jonka prototyyppi lensi ensilentonsa vuonna 1932. Vuodesta 1943 konetyyppiä käytettiin yöllisiin maataistelulentoihin Saksan itärintamalla. Saksalaisen 3./NSGr. 8:n Arado Ar 66c tuhoutui siirtolennolla Nautsista Kaamaseen 23.10.1944. Ujejärvelle pudonneesta koneesta paikalliset asukkaat ovat evakuoineet moottorin ja ylätason. Runko lienee myöhemmin poltettu ja raahattu suon yli maantien viereen.

Arado Ar 66 is a German singe-engined, two-seat trainer biplane. Its prototype flew first time in 1932. From 1943 Germany used type for night ground attack missions at the Eastern Front. Arado Ar 66c of German 3./NSGr. 8 was destroyed during the transfer flight from Nautsi to Kaamanen on October 23th 1944. The aircraft made forced landing at Ujejärvi. Local people evacuated the engine and the upper wing. The fuselage has been burnt later and moved over a moss to the roadside.
