Eklund TE-1

Suomalainen DI Torof Eklund suunnittelemasta ylätasoisesta lentokoneesta piti tulla "jokamiehen amfibiokone". Koneen tarvitseman säilytystilan pienentämiseksi sen siivet saattoi kääntää taakse. Koneen ensilento tapahtui 23.2.1949 Hallissa. Myöhemmin koneen moottori vaihdettiin tehokkaampi moottori, jonka seurauksena laskuteline poistettiin ja amfibiokoneesta tuli lentovene.

Eklund TE-1 oli aikanaan maailman pienin amfibiokone, myöhemmin maailman pienin lentovene. Se on myös yksi maailman ensimmäisistä T-pyrstöisistä lentokoneista. Kone poistettiin rekisteristä vuonna 1969 ja tuli museoon vuonna 1981.

Finnish Master of Science Torolf Eklund designed a high-wing aircraft for "an amphibian of everyman". The wings were foldable due to minimise the need of the storege space. The aircraft flew first time on February 23rd 1949 at Halli. Later the engine was upgraded and the landing gear removed. That means that the aircraft changed from an amphibian to a flying boat.

Eklund TE-1 was the smallest amphibian in the world and later the smallest flying boat in the world. It was one of the first aircraft with T-tail in the world. The aircraft was deleted from a register in 1969 and it came to the Finnish Aviation Museum in 1981.
