Grumman American AA-5 Traveler

American Aviation esitteli vuonna 1968 kaksipaikkaisen pienkoneensa AA-1 Yankee Clipperin, josta tuli varsin suosittu. Sen pohjalta syntyi suurennettu AA-5 Traveler, joka lensi ensilentonsa 21.8.1970. Konetyypin tuotanto alkoi vuonna 1971 ja nimeksi vaihtui Grumman American AA-5 Traveler Grummanin ostettua American Aviationin.

OH-AYN rekisteröitiin Suomen Ilma-alusrekisteriin 24.5.1974. Juhannuksena 1993 kone vaurioitui pahoin laskussa Pyhäselän rakenteilla olleelle lentokentälle. Kone poistettiin rekisteristä tuhoutuneena 2.5.1995.

The American Aviation introduced the two-seat light aircraft AA-1 Yankee Clipper in 1968. Following it's success the company designed an enlarged AA-5 Traveler. It flew first time on August 21st 1970. The production started in 1971 and after that the name changed to the Grumman Aviation AA-5 Traveler due to the American Aviation's merger to the Grumman.

OH-AYN was registered in Finland on May 24th 1974. At Midsummer 1993 the aircraft damaged badly after unsuccessful landing at Pyhäselkä airfield. The aircraft was deregistered on May 2nd 1995.
