Saab 35A Draken

Kaksoisdeltasiipinen Saab 35 Draken -suihkuhävittäjäkone oli Ruotsin ilmavoimien päähävittäjätyyppi 1960- ja 1970-luvuilla. Erikoista siipiratkaisua testattiin ensin pienellä Saab 210 -koekoneella, joka lensi ensilentonsa 21.1.1952. Saab 35 Drakenin prototyyppi lensi ensilentonsa 25.10.1955. Saab 35 Draken oli toinen Suomen Ilmavoimien päähävittäjätyyppi vuosina 1974-2000. Suomen Ilmavoimien vuosina 1972-1976 tekemään Draken-hankintaan sisältyi Ruotsissa tehty simulaattori, joka perustyi Saab 35A Drakenin ohjaamo-osaan.

The double delta winged Saab 35 Draken jet fighter was the main fighter type of the Swedish Air Force in the 1960s and 1970s. The extraordinary wing solution was tested in the Saab 210 test aircraft which made its maiden flight on January 21st 1952. The prototype of the Saab 35 Draken flew first time on October 25th 1955.  The Saab 35 Draken was the second main fighter type of the Finnish Air Force 1974-2000. The Draken procurement 1972-1976 was contained a Swedish flight simulator based on nose part of the Saab 35A Draken.
