I.V.L. A 22 Hansa | Hansa Brandenburg W.33

Saksalainen yksitasoinen Hansa Brandenburg W.33 -meritoimintakone lensi ensilentonsa lokakuussa 1918. Konetta ehdittiin toimittaa vain seitsemän kappaletta ennen ensimmäisen maailmansodan päättymistä. Suomen Ilmailuvoimat hankkivat Saksasta Hansa Brandenburg W.33 -koneen lisenssin toukokuussa 1921. Ilmailuvoimien lentokonetehdas rakensi vuosina 1922-1926 yhteensö 120 I.V.L. A 22 Hansaa, joista kaksi myytiin Latviaan. Konetta käytettiin tiedustelu-, pommi- ja harjoituskoneena vuoteen 1935 saakka.

Kone on ainoa säilynyt konetyyppinsä edustaja koko maailmassa.

The maiden flight of the German Hansa Brandenburg W.33 float monoplane was in October 1918. Only seven aircraft were delivered before end of the WWI. The Finnish Air Force bought the licence to build W.33s in May 1921. The State Aircraft Factory built 120 I.V.L. A 22 Hansas. Two of them were sold tho Latvia. The Finnish Air Force used aircraft as a reconnaissance aircraft, a bomber and a trainer until 1935.

The aircraft is only one of the type remaining in the world.
