Karhulan Ilmailukerhon Lentomuseo

Kymin lentokentällä toimiva Karhulan Ilmailukerhon Lentomuseo on ainoa laatuaan Kymenlaaksossa. Museossa on näytteillä noin 20 lentokonetta, joista osa on käynti-, rullaus- tai lentokelpoisia.

Vaikka Karhulan Ilmailukerho säästi vanhan Harakka I -liitokoneensa museoitavaksi jo vuonna 1959, varsinainen museotoiminta alkoi vuonna 1992, kun Ilmavoimat luovutti kerholle säilytettäväksi Fouga CM 170 Magister -suihkuharjoituskoneen, jota säilytettiin aluksi purjekonehallissa. Museokonehalli valmistui syksyllä 1995 ja sen laajennus vuonna 2008. Näyttelytilaa on 600 neliömetriä.

Ilmailumuseota hoitaa Karhulan Ilmailukerho.

Flying Museum of Karhula Flying Club

The Aviation Museum of the Flying Club Karhula is located at the Kymi Airfield near Kotka. The museum has on show about 20 aircraft. Some of them are startable, ground-runnable or flyable.

Although the Karhula Flying Club stored a old Harakka I glider for museum as early as in 1959, the proper starting point for the museum was in 1992, when Finnish Air Force delivered a Fouga CM 170 Magister to the Karhula Flying Club in order to be stored. The Fouga Magister was stored first in the hangar of the sailplanes. The hangar for historical aircraft was completed Fall 1995 and the expansion of it in 2008. The area of the museum hangar is 600 sqm.

The Aviation Museum is operated by Karhula Flying Club.
