Viri

Ilmailuinsinöörien Kerho (IIK) suunnitteli 1930-luvun puolessa välissä urheilulentokone Virin. Koneen prototyyppi lensi ensilentonsa 29.9.1936. Ainoaksi jäänyt Viri tuhoutui jo 1.1.1938 pudottuaan Porthaniankatu 4:n katolle Turussa. Nurmijärveläinen Eero Salminen aloitti Virin replikan rakentamisen 1980-luvulla. Projekti hankittiin Ilmailumuseoyhdistykselle ja Tiistaikerho rakensi koneen valmiiksi vuonna 2011. Koneen moottori on alkuperäinen.

The Finnish Society of Aeronautical Engineers (FSAE) designed the sport aircraft Viri in the middle of the 1930s. The prototype flew first time on September 29th 1936. The prototype was the only one Viri and it destroyed by falling on the roof of the house at Porthaniankatu 4 in Turku. Mr Eero Salminen from Nurmijärvi started to build a replica of the Viri in the 1980s. The project has been acquired to the Aviation Museum Society and the Tuesday Club finished the aircraft in 2011. The engine is original.
