Fokker F.27-100 Friendship FF-1

Hollantilainen Fokker kehitti F.27:n Douglas DC-3:n seuraajaksi. Koneen prototyyppi lensi ensilentonsa 24.11.1955 ja koneen sarjavalmistus alkoi vuonna 1958. Mallia F.27-100 rakennettiin 85 kpl ja kaikkiaan F.27-konetyyppiä valmistettiin 796 kpl, joista Fairchild Yhdysvalloissa 206 kpl. Koneen tuotanto päättyi vuonna 1987 ja koneen edelleenkehitelmän, Fokker 50:n vuonna 1997.

Suomen Ilmavoimat vuokrasi kaksi Fokker F.27-100 Friendshipiä vuonna 1980 Karair Oy:ltä, joka oli ostanut ne Iceland Air -yhtiöltä. Vuonna 1982 Suomen Ilmavoimat osti koneet itselleen.

FF-1 on valmistunut vuonna 1965 ja ehti Iceland Airilla lentää 24 942 tuntia. Konetta käytettiin lyhyesti Kar-Airissa vuonna 1980 ja vuokrattiin Ilmavoimille. FF-1 muunnettiin Hollannissa ja Suomessa vuosina 1989-1991 elektronista tiedustelua varten. Kone poistui käytöstä vuonna 2018.

Kone on sijoitettu muistomerkiksi sotilasalueelle Pirkkalan lentoaseman läheisyydessä.

The Fokker F.27 has been developed as a successor of the Douglas DC-3. The prototype of F.27 flew on November 24th 1955 and the series production began in 1958. The productrion number of model F.27-100 was 85 and the total production of the F.27 series was 796 aircraft including 206 built by Farichild in USA. The production ended in 1987 and the production of the further development (Fokker 50) in 1997.

The Finnish Air Force leased two Fokker F.27-100 Fiendships from Karair Oy in 1980. Karair Oy has bought aircraft from Iceland Air. The Finnish Air Force bought aircraft in 1982.

FF-1 has been delivered in 1965 and flew in Iceland Air 24,942 hours. It converted to the electronic reconnaissance role in the Netherlands and Finland in 1989-1991. It retired in 2018.
