Douglas DC-3C (OH-LCD)
Douglas Aircraft Companyn rakentama DC-3 - mukaan lukien koneen sotilasversiot C-47 ja C-53 - on eniten valmistettu liikennelentokone kautta aikojen. Konetyyppiä valmistettiin kaikkiaan noin 16 000 kpl. Douglas DC-2 -liikennekoneesta kehitetty DC-3:n esiversio DST (Douglas Sleeper Transport) lensi ensilentonsa 17.12.1935. Suomeen hankittiin toisen maailmansodan jälkeen kaikkiaan 19 Douglas DC-3-, C-47- ja C-53-konetta. OH-LCD rakennettiin Long Beachilla vuonna 1943 versioksi C-47A-75-DL. Kone osallistui Normandian maihinnousuun kesäkuussa 1944. Suomen Valtio osti koneen Liittoutuneiden ylijäämävarastosta Oberpfaffenhofenista 12.6.1946. Kone muunnettiin Fokkerin lentokonetehtaalla matkustajaversioksi DC-3C-S1C3-G. Konetta käytettiin Aero Oy:n liikennekoneena vuoteen 1964 saakka, jolloin kone sai suuren rahtioven ja otettiin käyttöön rahtikoneena 1.7.1966. Kone myytiin Maanmittaushallitukselle 15.4.1969, ja sai tunnuksen DO-8. Konetta käytettiin Ilmavoimien operoimana kartoituskuvaus- ja kuljetuskoneena, kunnes poistettiin käytöstä vuonna 1985 ja myytiin. Koneen omistaa Airveteran Oy. Kone kunnostettiin Suomen Ilmailumuseolla ja se vieraili yleisömagneettina Vantaan asuntomessuilla Kivistössä 17.6.-13.8.2015.

The DC-3 designed and built by the Douglas Aircraft Company is the most successful airliner of all time. The number of DC-3 and its military versions (C-47 and C-53) produced exceeds 16,000. The pre-lease version (DST, Douglas Sleeper Transport) of the DC-3 was derived from the DC-2 and flew first time on December 17th 1935. In all 19 DC-3s, C-47s and C-53s were acquired to Finland after WWII. The OH-LCD was built on Long Beach in 1942. The aircraft participated in the Normandy landings in June 1944. The State of Finland bought it from Allies' surplus storage at Oberpfaffenhofen on June 12th 1946. The aircraft converted from version C-47A-75-DL to the airliner version DC-3C-S1C3-G at Fokker. Aero Oy used aircraft as an airliner until 1964 when it got a big cargo door and it has been taken in use as a freighter on Juny 1st 1966. The aircraft was sold to the National Survey Board on April 15th 1969 and it got the code DO-8. The Finnish Air Force operated aircraft as a transport aircraft and for photo-surveying duties until it was written off in 1985. The aircraft was sold to the the existing owner Airveteran Oy. The aircraft restored at the Finnish Aviation Museum and it visited Vantaa Home Fair at Kivistö as a crowd puller between June 17th and August 13th 2015.
