Bell 47D-1

Bell 47 on amerikkalaisen Bell Helicopter Companyn valmistama kevyt helikopteri, jonka prototyyppi lensi ensilentonsa 8.12.1945. Konetyypin valmistus päättyi vuonna 1974 noin 5 600 valmistetun helikopterin jälkeen.

Imatran Voima Oy hankki vuonna 1953 yhden Bell 47D-1 -helikopterin, jota operoitiin yhdessä Ilmavoimien kanssa. Helikopteri lensi viimeisen lentonsa 26.11.1976, jonka jälkeen se luovutettiin Suomen Ilmailumuseolle.

The Bell 47 is a light helicopter designed and built by the Bell Helicopter Company. The prototype of Bell 47 flew first time on December 8th 1945. The production ended in 1974 after about 5 600 Bell 47s.

The state-owned power company Imatran Voima Oy acquired one Bell 47D-1 in 1953. It was operated in co-operation with the Finnish Air Force. The helicopter flew the last flight on November 26th 1976. After that it hande over to the Finnish Aviation Museum.
