Roofing celebration of VL Myrsky II restoration project - Mr Matti Patteri rewarded04.03.2020
The makers and supporters of the VL Myrsky II restoration project celbrated the roofing celebration of the MY-14 on Tuesday March 3rd 2020 at the Finnish Aviation Museum. Veterans Mauri Maunula ja Tuomas Haapanen hounoured the celebration with their presence. The opening hour of the Finnish Aviation Museum's restoration rooms provided possibility of become acquainted with the project's results. For example, both wing halves, tailplane, landing gear and NACA ring were in the show. After the opening hour the project publicist Reino Myllymäki presented a short story about VL Myrsky's history and the restoration project status. After that, project manager Matti Patteri was rewared by the highest VL Myrsky award (VL Myrsky painting number 2) by the Aviation Museum Society's chairman and project director Janne Salonen, the Finnish Aviation Museum's Museum Chief Pia Illikainen and the Finnish Air Force Museum's Museum Chief Kai Meckin.
